A lovely album including popular pieces such as the Scott Joplin rags as well as less well known pieces by Bernstein. Liz Hayes handles a variety of styles with assurance and in each case expresses the very essence of the piece. I have really enjoyed listening to this CD by a very talented pianist.

A really nice selection of pieces, some well known, others less so, from an interesting range of composers. Ms Hayes obviously has a deep understanding of the material and it at ease with it. She plays the pieces with flair, sensitivity and a very engaging sense of light and shade. Splendid stuff from an artist who deserves to be much more widely known.

Liz Hayes has a fresh and dynamic approach to this repetoire. The CD is exciting and fluid and brings Gershwin alive. Good rhythmic control is overlaid with expression and an obvious love for the music.
