Conchord - Ludwig Thuille - Chamber Music

Very interesting. I'd never heard of Thuille before browsing through the Quartz streaming files but what I heard was enough to persuade me to download the Sextet. Nice Strauss-y (of the Richard variety) music. Made me think what a shame it was that more of these late 19th-century/early 20th century composers didn't write more small-scale intimate works like this. I'd recommend this to anyone interested in exploring the lesser known corners of this period. I haven't heard Conchord before but they've turned in some very fine performances on this disc, at least. Thanks.
